Safety Beach Medical Bulk Billing hours are between 9am – 1pm for concession and pension card holders only. Children 15 years and under are Bulk Billed at all times.

Consultation Fees

Standard appointment $90 ($42.85 rebate)

Concession/Pension card holders $75 ($42.85 rebate)

Long appointment $130 ($82.90 rebate)

Concession/Pension card holders $120 ($82.90 rebate)

Bulk Billing

Children aged 15 years and under are bulk billed all day.

Concession and pension card holders will be bulk billed between 9am – 1pm.  All procedures will incur a private fee. We will bulk bill Chronic Disease Management Plans.

Cancellation Policy

Your appointments and well-being are very important. Safety Beach Medical understand that sometimes unexpected delays can occur,  meaning schedule adjustments are required. Please understand that appointment availability is limited. If you must cancel your appointment, please respectfully request 24hrs notice. Missed appointments or appointments cancelled with less than 24hrs notice will incur a non-rebatable $50 fee for GP and Allied Health appointments, including group sessions.

Prescriptions and referrals 

Should you need a repeat prescription and are unable to make a timely appointment for this, for a fee, you may call reception to ask your GP to do a prescription for a maximum of 1 month’s supply.

If you need a new referral for a specialist you have seen already and are not able to to see a GP before your specialist appointment, this can also be requested by calling reception.

The fee for these services is $20, payable at the time of the request.

The Independent Medical Practitioners will not write scripts for requests for sleeping pills, strong pain killers or any medication which requires a consultation to be prescribed, or referrals to specialists that you have not seen previously. Your doctor will check your request and complete if appropriate.  Please allow up to 2 working days for your request to be fulfilled.

This service is not intended to replace regular visits with your GP.

Skin Checks

Skin cancer check and skin lesion removals.
All skin checks and skin procedures incur a private fee:
$130 (rebate $82.90) for skin check
$65 ($45 for concessions) out of pocket for all procedures.

If you find yourself in financial hardship and are not eligible for a concession card please discuss this with your GP during your consultation.
